About Julie Keshmiry, "Princess Shmincess" Children's Book Author

Julie Keshmiry is a Bay Area children's book author, marketing executive, and mom based in Redwood City, California. Her debut picture book, Princess Shmincess, became an Amazon bestseller upon its release in October 2025.

Julie's journey into children's literature began at her daughter's bedside, where a creative rebellion was sparked from reading too many traditional princess stories. Determined to break the tiara-wearing mold, she created Princess Alexandria Von Shmincess, a drum-playing, adventure-seeking princess who follows her heart rather than royal rules. The book is illustrated by Mariia Furdei and published by Miriam Laundry Publishing.

Princess Shmincess is a Book Excellence Award winner in the Children's Inspirational/Motivational category and has been featured on The Female Quotient BookSHElf at SXSW.

When she's not crafting tales that empower young readers, Julie volunteers with organizations that serve women and children - and will always champion characters who defy expectations.
