Welcome to the Blog (Yep, there's a blog)

I'll be honest, I almost didn't add a blog to this site.

I'm a Marketing Executive, which means I know the advice. Post consistently. Build a content calendar. Show up every Tuesday at 9am. I get it.

But this whole project — Princess Shmincess, Alex, the dragon, all of it — started because I "colored outside the lines" and wrote the story I actually wanted to tell. So it felt a little hypocritical to kick off a blog with a rigid posting schedule I'd quietly abandon.

Here's what you can expect from this space: I'll show up when I have something worth saying. Sometimes that'll be a peek behind the curtain of what it's actually like to publish a children's book while holding down a full-time career. Sometimes it'll be notes from a school visit that reminded me why this book exists. Sometimes it'll be a thought about raising kids who are confidently, defiantly, gloriously themselves — kids who march to the beat of their own drum.

That last one is basically the whole point.

So welcome. No inbox clutter, no filler content. Just the stuff that actually felt worth writing down.
